Melanie holds a B.F.A. from the University of the Arts in Modern Dance Performance. Other educational credits include being a student at The Koresh of Dance for 15 years and performing as a soloist in The Movement Laboratory Youth Ensemble, in which she traveled overseas to perform.
Melanie has taught for 20+ years which includes being an adjunct professor and faculty advisor for the Emotion Dance Club at Elizabethtown College for 6 years. During her time there, the club grew from 50 to 200 members. She has taught at many local studios, including Signature Dance Studio, LLC. and now LanCo Performing Arts. Prior to her time with us, she taught advanced Ballet, Pointe, and Lyrical at Carol's Academy of Dance.
Melanie's performance credits include performing and choreographing on some local stages like the Fulton Theatre, EPAC, Whitaker Center, Theatre of the Seventh Sister, and the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre.
Melanie believes attendance and attitude are key to becoming the best you can be.
